The
project
So
Nordic
(SNO)
is
a
pop-up
gallery,
located
in
Helsinki
city
center,
that
aims
to
establish
an
arena
where
nordic
artists,
architects
and
designers
can
exhibit
and
exchange
ideas,
ambitions
and
works.
The
gallery
will
be
a
mobile
structure
and
exhibition
space
that
constitutes
a
flexible
set-up
for
art
exhibitions
and
social
events.
The
project
is
an
extension
of
the
Black
Box
-
Helsinki
Mobile
Museum
of
Modern
Art
project
(www.theblackbox.fi),
a
street
gallery
that
has
established
itself
as
an
important
addition
to
Helsinki's
cultural
scene. The purpose of SNO is to stimulate new collaborations across nordic traditions and cultures.
The
objective
of
the
project
is
to
create
a
platform
for
debate
amongst
young
nordic
architects
about
what
architecture
can
be
and
to
contribute
to
a
more
inquisitive
and
foreward-thinking
architectural
scene
in
the
Nordic
countries, as well as to generate public interest in the subject.
